I speak with Lanae Weir about the origins of the company, when they made prints and slides from film they provided (mot Kodak), to today, not only a purveyor of prints from your digital files, but a one-stop web presence where you can get prints from film or digital, purchase books, calendars and gifts, and become involved in various social communities where you can share your pictures and your thoughts.

Photoworks is important in the photographic industry due to its history, predating digital photography, and also as it is still thinking of how to add to our overall photographic experiences.

There aren't many photographic companies that started by selling unusual film and prints via mail-order and are still around.
