Vol1No27 - One True Media - 20Nov2005

One True Media gift ideas for the holidays - photo books and DVD montages. I had an opportunity to speak with Mark Moore, one of the founder's of One True Media about their services. I believe they are on to something with the amount of digital images and videos shot annually. Their method of digitizing your "memories" works in two dimensions. The obvious is having scenes and still images available for you to edit and use to make books and DVDs with the software on their web site, but the other dimension, so well in my head after the catastrophes of the hurricanes, tornados and other horrors, is in completely saving all of your collections. That One True Media stores everything, and makes it available online, is fantastic "insurance".

Vol1No26 - Workflow & Wacom - 13November2005

Basic digital imaging workflow and Wacom graphic tablets are the features of this edition of the Secrets of Digital Imaging audio magazine. One of my listeners, Ross Bryan, asked me to explain some very basic workflow procedures to help those that consider themselves "basic shooters". Also in this edition, I feature an interview I had with Scott Rawlings of Wacom, the manufacturer of those fantastic graphic tablets. Whether you're a basic shooter or an advanced pro, you can do more with a Wacom tablet than you can with a mouse. Scott explains a few reasons why you should consider getting a tablet to help you with your image editing and I can tell you that if you do, you won't go back to using a mouse!

Picture Resizer is an image resizing tool, which strongest aspect is the simplicity of it`s use. The program comes as standalone EXE file, that you can place anywhere, and simply drag and drop an image or folder with images onto the application icon to create resized copied of the originals. It does not offer any additional options or settings, but uses a quality resizing algorithm, that produces good results, suitable for emailing or online publishing. The size of the output pictures is controlled by the name of the application, and uses a width of 400 pixels by default.
